Cairos as an alternative to Holded
Holded is probably the best-known ERP in Spain, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. This page compares what can genuinely be compared: the list prices each one publishes, with the date they were checked, and what each one does better.
What each one costs
Both publish their prices excluding VAT, so the comparison is direct. Holded's prices are the list ones, without the welcome offer that was running that day.
| Holded plan | per month | Users | Invoices a year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plus | 15,00 € | Not shown in the table | 250 |
| Basic | 29,00 € | 2 | 1.000 |
| Standard | 59,00 € | 4 | 3.000 |
| Advanced | 99,00 € | 7 | 10.000 |
| Premium | 199,00 € | Not shown in the table | Unlimited |
Taken from holded.com/es/precios on 25 August 2026. Their site stated that day: “Prices do not include VAT”, partner access included for your accountancy firm and 50% off for the first three months. That pricing page showed no permanent free plan: the way in is a 14-day trial. Two things that change the sums and are worth a look: that day their annual price was twelve times the monthly one — what they advertise as a saving is the introductory offer on the first three months, not a discount for paying yearly — and several pieces are charged on top of the plan: inventory €25 a month, point of sale €25 per shop per month, payroll €5 per employee per month, and an extra user €10 a month. In Cairos inventory is inside the Ámbar plan at no added cost, and paying annually does bring the price down by 20%.
And what Cairos costs
| Cairos plan | per month | What they give you and where they limit you |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 0 € | 30 documents a year · 1 user · 1 company |
| Cuarzo | 10 € | 500 documents a year · 2 users · 1 company |
| Ámbar | 25 € | 1,500 documents a year · 5 users · 1 company |
| Jade | 50 € | 5,000 documents a year · 10 users · up to 3 companies |
| Zafiro | 100 € | 20,000 documents a year · 25 users · 5 companies · 150 GB |
| Rubí | 175 € | 60,000 documents a year · 60 users · 15 companies · 400 GB |
| Diamante | 275 € | Documents, users and companies with no limit · 1 TB |
Prices are per company and exclude VAT, the same ones on the pricing page. The column shows the month-by-month price; paid annually they work out at €8, €20, €40 and €80 a month. The free plan does not expire and asks for no card: it is not a trial, it is a plan.
These prices go out of date
The prices in the table are the list prices published on 25 August 2026, without promotions and excluding VAT. A program can change them tomorrow, and welcome promotions change almost every month. Before you decide, go to their website and look for yourself. If you see anything out of date on this page, write to us at hola@cairos.es and we will correct it.
What Holded is better at
This section is in every comparison we write and it is not there for form's sake. If any of this is what you need, stay where you are.
A real catalogue of integrations
Their integrations page lists connectors for Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Amazon, Stripe, PayPal, Zapier and Google Drive, plus an API and webhooks. Cairos has nothing of the sort, and that is what happens when you have not been around long.
Track record and a network of accountancy firms
Their site states that partner access for your accountancy firm is included in every plan. Behind that there are years of product, documentation and firms that already know how to use it. That is worth money and we do not have it yet.
Everything that is not on this page
We have not used Holded day to day and we are not going to pretend we have. If you are deciding, go to their site and look at their list of features: nobody should change program trusting only what a competitor writes.
What Cairos fits best
Three concrete things, all of them checkable on our own pricing page.
Free plan with VeriFactu inside
€0 for ever, no card and no countdown: 30 documents a year and one user, with a chained record and a QR code from the very first invoice. Charging for complying with the law strikes us as indefensible.
Less money for the same thing
€10, €25, €50 and €100 a month paid month by month, excluding VAT; €8, €20, €40 and €80 paid annually. The first paid plan already has expenses, forms 303, 390, 347, 349, 111, 115, 130 and 180, and the VAT record book.
Modules a generalist does not bring
A members' register, SEPA direct debit batches, modelo 182, cooperative surplus, VAT-exempt club fees, grants, recargo de equivalencia, IGIC, IPSI and modelo 720.
What almost no generalist ERP includes
We do not sell them separately and they do not cost extra: they are inside the plans and they switch on in the settings when you say what kind of entity you are. The members' register, the membership fees and donations come in from the Cuarzo plan; the rest of the entities block goes with higher plans, so write to us and we will tell you which one works out for you. It is also the youngest block in the program, marked as beta inside the ERP, and we say so here rather than letting you find out inside. If any of this is your case, ask any other program about it too before you sign up.
Members, fees and SEPA direct debit batches
A members' register with joiners, leavers and dates, recurring fees and their collection by direct debit, with a file for the bank and control of returned debits.
Donations and modelo 182
One-off and regular donors, certificates with the deduction each one is entitled to — recurrence worked out on its own — and the annual informative return.
Membership card with a QR code
It is scanned at the door and answers yes or no on the spot. Six designs, card size or eight to an A4 sheet, and suspension for non-payment without reprinting anything.
Cooperative surplus
The mandatory reserve fund, the education and promotion fund and the cooperative refund, with the percentages from whichever cooperatives act applies to you.
VAT-exempt club fees
What carries VAT and what does not in a sports club: membership fees, the school, the bar, sponsorship and ticket sales, each one on its own.
Grants with their evidence
What was awarded, what has been received in instalments and what spend is still to be evidenced before the deadline runs out. From the Cuarzo plan onwards.
Grants, volunteering and accounts
What is handed to beneficiaries recorded in its own grant accounts rather than as a purchase, volunteers with their insurance, and the draft accounts under the chart of accounts for non-profit organisations.
Recargo, IGIC, IPSI and modelo 720
Recargo de equivalencia for retailers, the Canary Islands' IGIC, the IPSI of Ceuta and Melilla, and the informative return on assets held abroad.
Cairos is new and small
We do not have ten years behind us, or a catalogue of integrations, or a network of partner accountancy firms. We have a product, prices written down and a set of modules that most do not bring. If what you need is a large, connected ecosystem, today Holded gives you that and we do not. If what you need is to invoice properly, close the quarter and not pay for meeting a legal obligation, the free plan is there and you risk nothing by trying it.
Open them both one afternoon
Our free account asks for no card and does not expire, so you can leave it open while you decide.
