Here is the ending first: this website installs none. The program installs one, to keep you logged in. Here is the detail, without the vagueness these documents usually come with.

This text has been drafted but it is not the final version yet. The details of the company that owns Cairos are missing — name, NIF, address and register entries — and so is a lawyer's review. The gaps you see like this are exactly that: gaps. We would rather show them than fill them with invented details. In the meantime, any question about how your data is handled is answered by writing to hola@cairos.es.
Why you do not see a cookie banner
Because there is nothing to consent to. This website carries no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The only cookie in the whole project is the one that keeps you logged in inside the program, and that one is strictly necessary: without it you could not get in. If that ever changes, the appropriate notice will appear and it will be explained here first.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser and can read back on later visits. It is used for useful things — remembering that you have logged in — and for less useful ones — following you from one site to another to show you advertising. The applicable rule is article 22.2 of Ley 34/2002 on information society services, which requires your prior, informed consent for all of them except those strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, together with the Guía sobre el uso de las cookies issued by the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, which sets out exactly how consent must be sought.
Two rules from that guidance which are not needed here but which are worth knowing, because plenty of websites break them: carrying on browsing is not consent, and refusing has to be as easy as accepting, with an equally visible button in the same layer. If this website ever needed a cookie notice, that is how it would be done.
Alongside cookies there are equivalent technologies: browser local storage, tracking pixels or device fingerprinting. Where this policy speaks of cookies, it means those as well.
2. What this website uses
Straight to the answer: cairos.es installs no cookies of its own and none from third parties. There is no analytics, no Google Analytics, no social media pixels, no advertising and no local storage. That is also why you will see no cookie notice when you arrive: there would be nothing to consent to, and a banner asking permission for nothing is just an annoyance.
What does happen, and is worth saying:
- Google Fonts typefaces. The fonts are loaded from
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com. That service installs no cookies, so it does not fall under article 22.2 of Ley 34/2002 and needs no prior consent; but in order to serve the file Google receives your IP address and the details of the request, and that is data processing, with a possible transfer to the United States. It is set out with its legal basis in the privacy policy. If this concerns you, a content blocker prevents it and the site still reads perfectly well in your system typeface. - The server log. The server that serves these pages records the requests it receives, as any server does. That is not a cookie, but it is data, and that is why it is set out in the privacy policy.
3. What the program uses
The management program at https://erp.cairos.es is a different matter: there you do have to be recognised from one page to the next, and that takes a cookie.

It is one of the httpOnly kind, so the page's JavaScript cannot read it, and secure, so it only travels over an encrypted connection. It is a strictly necessary cookie: without it you cannot log in, so it requires no prior consent. Refusing it amounts to not being able to use the program.
The program also stores some of your preferences — light or dark theme, table density, the last filter used on a list — in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device, they identify nobody, and they exist so that the screen does not jump as it loads. They are what the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos guidance calls interface personalisation, and they are exempt from prior consent because you choose them yourself.
4. Third-party cookies
Today there is no third-party cookie either on the website or in the program. If a service that installs them is ever added — a payment gateway, a support chat or a measurement tool — this page will be updated before it happens, with the provider's name, the purpose and the duration, and the consent notice the law requires will appear: installing nothing before you accept, with the option to refuse as accessible as the one to accept, and with the possibility of changing your mind afterwards.

5. How to manage or delete them
Even though there is little to manage here, every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage website data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Bear in mind that blocking all cookies stops you logging in to the program, because the session cookie is essential. On the informational website you will notice no difference at all.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if the cookies used change. The version in force is the one published here.
